Abstract

The concerns on the quality of education had motivated the development of this research. One consists as inquiry object the results of the plan of development of the school (PDE) that it is of great importance for the understanding of the investments financed for international institutions, with the objective to solve problems as the repeating, evasion and me the quality of the education of the Brazilian educational system. The methodology to be used in this research consisted with the following instruments: bibliographical research, documentary analysis and research of field. With quantitative-qualitative boarding that takes care of to the interests of this inquiry. The study it presented some data that had allowed to a reflection on the FUNDESCOLA program and its main product PDE that is impregnated of concepts as decentralization, autonomy and participation. The main results had pointed that the model of management instituted for the PDE does not take care of its objective to solve problems as the repeating, pertaining to school abandonment and me the quality of education.
