Abstract

During the year 2006, PUC-SP Psychology undergraduate program was reformulated through a process in which the faculty was deeply involved. The process aimed to comply with the national guidelines for Psychology undergraduate programs, with the university’s Institutional Pedagogic Project, and with the principle of on-going enhancement. This paper is a summary of the research that was conducted during that process. It describes the critical moments of the elaboration of the reformulation project, from the initial discussions to the early stages of its implementation. The difficulties and outcomes of this complex process, as well as the proposed changes, derived from the collective effort which allowed for students and the faculty to freely express themselves, are herein discussed and analyzed.
