Over the past few years, the Anthropocene concept has enabled a more concatenated understanding of how human beings and ecosystem damage are intertwined. In addition to the widespread degradation of ecosystems, desolation and damage also permeate human relationships, making it more difficult to view disasters as “natural”, as they mix with the social in their origins and consequences.
