<strong>TEACHER FORMATION: A LOOK AT THE DISCOURSE OF THE PROFESSOR OF TEACHER FORMATION.</strong>

Teachers. Is object is to analyze the concepts of the pedagogical knowledge of the professor of teacher formation in the light of the new requirements for formation related to legal terms, recent research, production and contemporary demands of the area. Discourse of professors of the teacher formation courses of an institution of higher education in the State of São Paulo in the areas of Exact, Biological and Human Sciences was analyzed. It is based on the presupposition that the greatest problem in Education is not only a pedagogical one but also by nature epistemological; therefore, the construction of knowledge is used as reference for analyzing the faults of the professor of teacher formation. The work deals with a qualitative study whose data were obtained by means of a questionnaire composed of items answered in writing by the professors of their practice in the classroom. The study detected points between what the professors said, their pedagogical practice theoretical references considered; this coul considerably affect the formation of teachers in Fundamental and Middle Education. The conclusions reached here ought to serve as the basis for discussion referring to the pedagogical project of the institution studied and many other ones of the same nature that play an important social and cultural role in some regions of the State and country.Downloads
