This study focused on the description and comparison of the most prevalent dysfunctions in the oral and pharyngeal stages of swallowing among 20-to-93 years old subjects evaluated through videofluoroscopy. Methods: 128 subjects with dysphagia complaints were evaluated, and presented the following diagnoses: neurologic diseases, cancer patients treated by surgery or chemotherapy. Results: about half of the patients evaluated presented some kind of alteration either in the oral or the pharyngeal swallowing stage. The prevalence of alterations were greater in the older group than in the younger one.Downloads
