An analysis of academic production on documentational genesis from 2012 to 2020

Abstract

This article is a clipping of a chapter of the bibliographic review of the thesis of the first author, whose objective was to study the documentational genesis of a collective formed by basic education teachers about the teaching of function from the Piecewise Defined Function - PDF. We understand that organizing and analyzing research on documentational genesis can offer a contribution to researchers interested in the topic. We chose to select investigations published in the electronic portals of periodicals, theses, and dissertations with databases from Brazil and abroad, organizing them by the categories of analysis 'curricular reforms', 'continuous teacher education' and 'pedagogical practices' to highlight the contours of the documentational genesis process. We conclude that the analysis of the documentational genesis process carried out in the selected works evidenced the need for a long time of observation to understand the documentational genesis, and the identification of usage schemes, besides inferences about the teachers’ professional development.
