Language delay and subjective constitution: the interface between speech/language and psychoanalytical clinical approaches

The aim of this paper is to discuss the interface between speech/language therapy and psychoanalytical approach concerning children whose speech/language symptoms leads the therapist to suspect that a psychotic condition may be present. A case-study is reported along with the different clinical decisions considered by the speech/language therapist. It also addresses the issue of the conditions which should be fulfilled so that the speech/language therapy could produce relevant therapeutic effects in cases like that.Downloads
