Abstract

The aim of this study was to perform a descriptive analysis of the findings of the velopharyngeal pattern related to the perceptual evaluation of the voice by nasolaryngoscopic examination, in dysphonic adult women with vocal nodules. 8 women with laryngeal diagnosis evident of vocal nodules were selected and the velopharyngeal sphincter and perceptive-auditory evaluations of the voice were carried out. The evaluation of the velopharyngeal inappropriatness and the findings of the nasolaryngoscopic examination were not significant to obtain parameters of the relationship between the velopharyngeal pattern and the resonance.
