Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the knowledge and utilization by audiologists of the self-estimation questionnaires about social impact and benefits of hearing aids on adults and elderly. Forty five audiologists working in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, were interviewed. Most of these professionals do not use the questionnaires regularly, although knowing about them, and the main excuse was the long time spent on the application of these questionnaires. The main uses for these scales were related as researches and academic purposes
